Materials and Ingredients

• PowerHeal® bandages are polyester bioelectric bandages with embedded microcell batteries made of elemental silver and elemental zinc. In the presence of moisture, the microcell batteries in PowerHeal bandages create an electric current designed to boost the electrical energy your skin naturally creates and uses in the healing process. PowerHeal bandages can be used to help heal a wide variety of wounds, including minor cuts, scrapes, burns, irritations, abrasions, and blisters.

• PowerHeal adhesive bandages feature an adhesive design that includes a lyocell fiber absorbent pad and a durable yet gentle polyurethane/acrylic adhesive border that locks in moisture, blocks bacteria from above, and keeps the bandage in place.

• Energel® wound hydrogel ingredients include reverse osmosis water, polymer, humectant, and preservatives (methylparaben, propylparaben). Energel hydrogel can be used to cover a wound to protect against abrasion, friction, drying out, and contamination. It can also be used to activate PowerHeal bandage products.

• Powered by patented technology. PowerHeal bandages and Energel hydrogel products do not contain natural rubber latex.

Indications and Instructions

• PowerHeal® antibacterial bandages are available over the counter for use on a variety of wounds including minor cuts, scrapes, burns, irritations, abrasions, and blisters. By maintaining an ideal moist environment at the wound site, PowerHeal bandages work with your body's natural healing process to eliminate up to 99.99% of surface bacteria³⁻⁶ and help reduce the appearance of scars.⁷˒⁸

    Didn’t work where needed

As I needed relief for the bottom of my foot, they just wouldn’t stay in place. They should work in other areas

    Hi Candace,

Thank you for your feedback! As you’ve found, bandaging on the toe / foot area can be challenging. Here are some suggestions: Many customers choose the PowerHeal™ with NO Adhesive for this area, and then choose their own preferred covering (like an absorbent pad and adhesive or wrap) to maintain moisture and keep it in place. If you choose PowerHeal™ With Adhesive: apply as instructed. The clear adhesive may be difficult to apply or may not stick well due to all the contours of the foot so you can apply an elastic adhesive tape over the bandaging to secure it. Examples: 3M Elastic Self-Adhesive Tape or J&J Elastikon Elastic Tape.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at hello@powerhealwounds.com. We’re here to help.

    Because Nothing Else Worked

What a find! I would love to share that this is the ONLY product I have found that has actually worked in healing an ulcerated wound on my upper arm. It's not fully healed but in just three weeks it is miles above where it was, and I could not obtain this with any other product!!! I would post images, but I was never wanting to take an image of what I was dealing with. I just put a long sleeve shirt on and tried to ignore it. And I live in a very hot and humid State.

    Thank you !

    Review

I bought this one as I thought it was an all in one application. I only tried one application for a day it left my skin around my wound excoriated. My doctor had warned me, but I wanted to give it a try. I also thought the different adhesive would make a differencde.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply PowerHeal® bandages with adhesive?

Please refer to the Instructions for Use for steps on how to use the PowerHeal bandages with adhesive.

How do I choose the right bandage?

Choose a bandage that completely covers your wound, stays securely in place, helps keep the area clean and protected, and maintains a moist healing environment. Visit our Product Comparison page and complete a short survey about your wound to find the best PowerHeal® bandage for your needs.

When should I choose PowerHeal® bandages with adhesive versus no adhesive?

Choose the Bioelectric Bandage Kit With Adhesive if you want an all-in-one solution. It includes a bioelectric bandage with a water-resistant adhesive outer layer, plus Energel® activating wound hydrogel. It is ideal for most skin types, comes in multiple sizes to fit a wide range of wounds, and is water-resistant, durable for daily use, and easy to apply.

Choose the Bioelectric Bandage Kit With No Adhesive if you have sensitive skin or need more flexibility. The single-layer bioelectric bandage can be cut into smaller pieces or combined with additional bandages, making it a good option for wounds with challenging shapes, sizes, or locations. It may also be a better choice for larger wounds that cannot be accommodated by the adhesive kit. Please note that you will need to provide your own adhesive covering or gauze wrap to keep the bandage in place. This kit includes a bioelectric bandage, plus Energel activating wound hydrogel.

Both options are suitable for cuts, scrapes, abrasions, blisters, minor burns, and other superficial wounds.

When selecting a bandage size, make sure the bioelectric pad extends 0.5 to 1 inch beyond the edges of your wound. Visit our Product Comparison page for additional assistance.

When should I change PowerHeal® bandages?

Bandages should be changed based on the condition of your wound and the surrounding skin. For example, if your wound has a lot of drainage, you may need to change the bandage once or twice a day, especially in the early stages of healing. As your wound heals, drainage typically decreases. Once drainage slows or stops, you may be able to change the bandage every 2 to 3 days.

A PowerHeal bandage may remain in place for up to 7 days before it needs to be changed. Total continuous use should not exceed 28 days. If treatment is required beyond this period, consult a physician.
